OrderAlice Peragine's artistic practice explores the material cultures of our present at the end of the fossil age. In her installations, visual works and performances, Peragine places fragments of bodies and technologies in mutual dependencies: How do they resemble each other? Where do they support each other? Where do they refuse each other? Her art work invites us to reflect on our own entanglements in these materials, infrastructures in these materials, infrastructures, and environments, thereby social hierarchies and gender-specific attributions clearly emerge. Also the collage Hartes Pflaster - weicher Asphalt also springs directly from our present-day material in which plastics, technological remains and human bodies come indistinguishably close to each other. The oil pastel applied with a coarse gesture points in an almost classical way to the artistic subject, yet its traces nestle against industrial textiles, even cut-out barcodes assert their place organically their place. In this way, Peragine's artwork not only emerges in a novel combination of artistic tradition and new artistic tradition and new materials. Rather, the various materials have a concrete power of action because it is the interplay between human and non-human input and non-human input the work emerges.
