Workshop for groups and school classes in the current exhibitions

Every year the members of the Kunstverein Braunschweig receive a new membership card. This card is always designed by an artist. Each membership card is therefore a small work of art. In the workshop accompanying the current exhibitions, each participant will design their own individual membership card. The starting point is provided by the current exhibitions, especially the themes and works shown. Inspired by artistic expression, we search catalogues, magazines and books for images, use paint or other materials to create a personalised badge. Each badge thus becomes a personal unique piece.

WORKSHOP ON HOTEL DODO

Luís Lázaro Matos' humorous installations take participants on a journey to Hotel Dodo. The exhibition rooms, designed as a hotel, invite visitors to contemplate the influence of humans, tourism and colonization on the flora and fauna of the Mauritius Islands. Inspired by the colorful murals and the returning motif of the dodo, the participants create their own works in postcard format. For this purpose, they use the monotype, a printing technique where each motif can only be printed once. The postcards can then be addressed and mailed on site.
