Sine Hansen
Jun 21 – Oct 5, 2025
This summer, Kunstverein Braunschweig presents a retrospective of the artist SINE HANSEN (*1942 in Inowroclaw, Poland, †2009 in Braunschweig), who lived in Braunschweig from 1961 until her death in 2009. As one of the few German representatives of Pop Art, Hansen created precise, large-scale depictions of everyday objects, machines, and technical devices from the late 1960s to the early 1990s, transforming them into monumental icons. The exhibition fills a gap in art history and is curated in collaboration with the artist's daughters.
