Meisterschüler*innen der HBK Braunschweig
With the exhibition Meisterschüler*innen der HBK Braunschweig 2025, the Kunstverein Braunschweig presents for the seventh time a recurring annual format that showcases a wide range of emerging artistic positions. This year’s edition features eleven international artists from Braunschweig University of Art (HBK) whose works engage in diverse ways with the concept of space – whether physical, social, or imaginary spaces in which we live, think, and fell.
The exhibited works range from paintings that depict naive and idealized worlds, to expansive installations that create their own cosmoses, to subtle reflections on everyday architecture, personal memory spaces, or digital realms. The exhibition is marked by a rich diversity of media and, at the same time, reveals the distinctive artistic signature and conceptual depth of each position.
Some of the works were created specifically for this exhibition, others emerged from final projects at the HBK or have been further developed for their presentation at the Kunstverein. Together, they unfold a diverse and dynamic engagement with current questions and forms of expression from a young art scene in and around Braunschweig.
The exhibition is a collaboration between University of Art Braunschweig and Kunstverein Braunschweig.
