Meisterschüler_innen der HBK Braunschweig
Soft Capsules
Kunstverein Braunschweig presents this year's postgraduate degree exhibition featuring works by graduates of the Braunschweig University of Arts Meisterschüler_innen programme.
Kunstverein Braunschweig is happy to present a summer exhibition dedicated to works by this year’s Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig (HBK) Meisterschüler_innen. This is the third time that the Kunstverein has made its entire premises available to showcase the quality and diversity of artistic practices in Braunschweig. The 18 international artists featured in the exhibition work across a wide variety of media, ranging from painting and sculpture to film and performance.
The title Soft Capsules evokes the cellular distribution of space that defines the Kunstverein’s architecture. Throughout its halls and smaller rooms, visitors can experience intimate encounters with works by artists at the start of their promising careers. Offering opportunities both to dwell and wander, the spatial itinerary of the exhibition is also symbolic of an art academy’s learning environment, which is characterized by dialogue, inspiration, and shared artistic imagination.
