The International Museum Day raises global awareness of the social role of museums. Under the motto “Discover Museums,” more than 7,100 museums across Germany invite visitors to explore a wide range of in-person and digital offerings – from guided tours and free admission to hands-on activities and podcasts. The day is organized annually by the International Council of Museums and coordinated in Germany by the German Museums Association and ICOM Germany.
