Es sollten viele sein und sie müssen nicht zusammenpassen, 2021
Geyso20 connected & collective!
Temporary Studio, Instagram-Takeover, Alternative team meeting
October 27 – November 9, 2021
Geyso20 connected & collective! strengthens the ties and friendship between Geyso20 and the Kunstverein Braunschweig. Faced with the pandemic’s specific challenges and restrictions, the participating artists thought of using this invitation as an opportunity to work again in small groups. They have set up a temporary studio at the Remise space and in the adjacent garden. You are very welcome to visit the artists during opening hours. In addition to this change of location, the institutions will take over each other’s Instagram pages and hold an alternative team meeting during the opening hours.
Geyso20: Geyso20 is a studio, a gallery and a collection for outsider art. In the studio, artists with disabilities find the space and framework for their artistic practice.
Participating Artists: Thorsten Ruperti, Sascha Mücke, Volker Darnedde, Reinhard Dittrich
Project Team: Nina Roskamp and Marion Scherr (Geyso20), Nele Kaczmarek (Kunstverein Braunschweig)
This collaboration is part of the project Es sollten viele sein und sie müssen nicht zusammenpassen, 2021, which rethinks the roles of artists, curators, and audiences.
It revolves around the question: What can the Kunstverein do for you and your community?
