Kleinstkinder-Kunst: eine unterschätzte Lebensphase: September 18 – 28, 2021
Kleinstkinder – Kunst: eine unterschätzte Lebensphase originated from the desire to increase networking and dialogue between childcare providers in the city: Which ways of working with art can be particularly interesting for children between the ages of one and three? And how can new subjects and techniques be implemented? What kind of presentation is suitable if the needs of the participating artists / children are taken up? An exhibition in the Remise of the Kunstverein Braunschweig brings together different approaches and works as a starting point for a conversation between the various childcare facilities. This is followed by a series of workshops in which supervisors, children and art educators from the Kunstverein collaborate.
Das Fams:
The team of the coordination office Das Fams organizes day care for children in Braunschweig. This includes advising parents as well as looking after day care staff.
BEI HEDWIG:
BEI HEDWIG is a day care facility for children in the western ring area of Braunschweig. With the idea of initiating a project in the Kunstverein, the directors Karin and Thomas Mrozek made contact with many other supervisors.
Project Team: Karin und Thomas Mrozek (BEI HEDWIG), Angela Plentz (Das Fams), art educator (Kunstverein Braunschweig) and many more day care facilities and artists.
This collaboration is part of the project Es sollten viele sein und sie müssen nicht zusammenpassen, 2021, which rethinks the roles of artists, curators, and audiences. It revolves around the question:
What can the Kunstverein do for you and your community?
