As part of her federal voluntary service in the field of culture, Shaina Helbing is presenting her final projecta lamb's dream at the Kunstverein Braunschweig. The works developed especially for this exhibition deal with the institutional structures and processes that Helbing experienced at close quarters during her one-year engagement at the Kunstverein. In a sensitive interplay of painting, drawing and installation, she condenses her observations into a multi-layered reflection on work-related everyday life - especially from the perspective of people read as female. What is all too often overlooked or marginalized in social discourse finds a poetic and critical form in alamb's dream: a voice for experiences that want to be heard .
