Long before oil paints were available ready-made in tubes, artists mixed pigments with oil to create their own paints. In this workshop, we will explore and try out this centuries-old technique together. Like the great artists in art history, we will mix our own colors and test them directly on paper.

During the first session, we will extract pigments from natural materials and everyday foods. In the second session, we will process these pigments into paint and bring them onto paper.
